The 2025-26 Road Safety Patrol (RSP) inauguration event organized by the Tamil Nadu Traffic Wardens Organization under the Avadi Police Commissionerate was held in a grand manner on 25.07.2025 at the Avadi Police Convention Centre.
The special guests were warmly welcomed with a parade by RSP students. A total of 1,400 students from 38 schools under the Avadi Corporation participated enthusiastically in the event.
Speaking at the event, Avadi City Police Commissioner Thiru K. Shankar, IPS, emphasized the importance of road safety and highlighted the responsibilities to be followed by both students and the general public. He also announced that for the first time in Tamil Nadu, steps are being taken to provide life insurance coverage for 101 Road Safety Patrol Police Wardens.
The Commissioner honored school principals who encouraged student participation, road safety officers, and the RSP students themselves by presenting them with special awards.
Additional Commissioner of Police, Mrs. K. Bhavaneswari, IPS, participated as a special guest and led the students in taking the road safety pledge.
Also present were Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Police, Thiru. Sangu, and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Thiru. Sathiyamoorthy, who graced the occasion with their presence.
The event, conducted under the guidance of the Avadi Police Commissioner and led by Chief Traffic Warden of the Tamil Nadu Traffic Wardens Organization, Thiru. Yogesh Babu, concluded successfully with a touch of cultural tradition.
