At the Melmalayanur Sri Angala Parameswari Amman Temple, during the Amavasai Oonjal festival held on 19.11.2025, police personnel Sathish and Dharmadurai from the Tamil Nadu Special Police 10th Battalion, who were on security duty, found a gold ornament lost by a devotee and handed it over to Melmalayanur Inspector of Police, Mrs. Vinatha.
Appreciating the honesty and dedication of the police personnel, the District Superintendent of Police, Mr. Saravanan IPS, personally met them, issued a certificate of appreciation, and commended their service.
The devotee who lost the gold ornament is requested to contact the Melmalayanur Police Station with valid identification and necessary documents to claim it.
