Twelve mobile phones that went missing during the Amavasai (new moon) days at the Melmalaiyanur Angalamman Temple were handed over to their rightful owners today.

Since a large number of devotees gather at the temple during every monthly Amavasai, the District Superintendent of Police, Mr. P. Saravanan, IPS, had instructed police personnel to immediately trace missing mobile phones and return them to the owners on the following Amavasai day. Based on this directive, the initiative was carried out.

Accordingly, under the supervision of Mr. Rameshraj, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Gingee Sub-Division, and led by Inspector Mrs. Vinatha of Melmalaiyanur Police Station, the police conducted a thorough investigation into the mobile phones that went missing over the past two Amavasai days. Through their efforts, 12 mobile phones were recovered.

Today, these mobile phones were handed over to their respective owners. The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the police department for their prompt and effective action.
