In order to encourage the best-performing police stations in Tamil Nadu, the Chief Minister’s Award is presented every year. Police stations are evaluated based on several aspects, including proper maintenance of records, speedy disposal of cases, earning goodwill among the public, and keeping the premises organized and clean. The best stations are then selected for recognition.
This year’s award ceremony was held at the Tamil Nadu Police Headquarters in Chennai. The event began with a special screening that showcased the rich history of the Tamil Nadu Police, highlighting its service, sacrifice, and achievements.
Later, the Directors General of Police and the Head of the Police Force presented the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s Awards to officers from 46 police stations that had performed exceptionally well in 2023.
Among them, Perambalur Town Police Station was selected as the best police station at the state level. Representing the station, Inspector Sathiskumar went on stage to receive the Chief Minister’s Award.
This recognition reflects the tireless service and commitment of the Perambalur District Police, which has earned appreciation at the state level. By consistently working to uphold public trust, the Perambalur Town Police Station has added further prestige through this award.
