On July 3, 2025, the Tambaram City Police, in collaboration with TANSAM (Tamil Nadu Smart and Advanced Manufacturing Centre) – a Government of Tamil Nadu initiative – and Global Carrier Connect (GCC), jointly organized a large-scale job fair at Kailash Garden Mahal, located on OMR Road.

This job fair was part of the ongoing “Perumbakkam Experiment” and primarily targeted skilled youth, especially recent graduates, from neighborhoods including Kannagi Nagar, Perumbakkam, Semmencherry, and various parts of Tambaram City.

Leading companies from sectors like retail, hospitality, construction, logistics, and manufacturing participated in the event, including D-Mart, A2B Hotels, TVS Lucas, TVS Motors, Shoba Builders, and Bhidar Al-Mulla-Kuwait 2.

A total of 281 young men and women, aged 18 and above, attended the fair. They held various educational qualifications such as SSLC, HSC, ITI, Diploma, Undergraduate degrees, Nursing, and Hotel Management.

Out of the participants, 51 candidates received job offers from Indian companies, while one candidate secured an overseas placement. In total, 52 candidates were handed their official offer letters on the spot by Tambaram City Police Commissioner Mr. Abin Dinesh Modak, IPS, who presided over the event.

The selected candidates will undergo a three-day orientation and skill training before joining their respective roles.

This initiative highlights a significant collaborative effort between law enforcement and government agencies to empower and uplift local youth through sustainable employment opportunities.
