In a major crackdown aimed at identifying and curbing crimes such as theft, murder, robbery, illegal liquor trade, sale of illicit liquor, ganja, gutkha, and banned substances, the Perambalur District Police conducted surprise raids across the district today (20.07.2025).
These proactive operations were carried out under the orders of the District Superintendent of Police, Mr. Adharsh Pacerla IPS, and led by Additional Superintendent of Police, Mr. Gopalachandran.




Participating in the operation were Perambalur Sub-Division Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. A. Arokiyaraj and Inspector of Perambalur Police Station Mr. Satheesh Kumar, along with special police teams.
As part of the raids, police personnel visited the residences of habitual offenders, rowdies, and suspicious individuals to investigate whether they were involved in any ongoing criminal activities. Their behavior and unusual movements were closely monitored and verified.
Speaking about the operation, District Superintendent of Police Mr. Adharsh Pacerla IPS stated:
> “These raids are part of routine preventive measures aimed at keeping a close watch on rowdies, repeat offenders, and suspects to ensure that crimes are stopped before they occur. Public safety remains our highest priority.”
