A special awareness program on Social Justice, Human Rights, and Drug Prevention was held today (22.07.2025) at Father Hans Rover College in Perambalur district. District Superintendent of Police, Adarsh Pachera, IPS, participated in the event and addressed the students in detail about the importance of social justice, human rights, eradication of untouchability, and the dangers of drug abuse.

The event was attended by the college chairman Varadharajan, Additional Superintendent of Police Balamurugan (Prohibition Enforcement Wing), Perambalur Sub-Division DSP Arokiyaraj, Mangalamedu Sub-Division DSP M. Dhanasekaran, faculty members, and students.

Speaking at the event, Additional SP Balamurugan raised awareness on drug eradication, the harmful effects of illegal liquor and cannabis, and the suffering faced by families who lose loved ones due to substance abuse.


Sub-Divisional DSP Arokiyaraj educated students on topics such as child marriage, the POCSO Act, the importance of education, women’s education, and the re-enrollment of school dropouts.

Mangalamedu DSP M. Dhanasekaran (in charge of Social Justice and Human Rights) also provided in-depth awareness to students about social justice, human rights, and untouchability.
