At JSA College of Agriculture Engineering and Technology, located in Avatti under the jurisdiction of Ramanatham Police Station, Cuddalore district, a Drug Abuse Awareness Programme and Anti-Ragging Awareness Session was conducted today (24.09.2025).
The programme was organized as per the instructions of the District Superintendent of Police (SP) and was led by the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Thittakudi.
During the event, students were sensitized about the physical, psychological, and social consequences of drug addiction. They were also made aware that ragging in educational institutions is a serious criminal offence and strict legal action, including punishments, would be enforced against those involved.
A total of 110 participants attended the programme, including 60 girl students, 40 boy students, and 10 faculty/staff members. Students and staff actively took part in the session and raised several questions during the interaction.
