A monthly crime review and performance evaluation meeting was held today at the office of the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ramanathapuram Range, on behalf of the Ramanathapuram District Police.

Police officers from various circles, including inspectors and sub-inspectors from Ramanathapuram and Sivagangai districts, participated in the meeting.

The meeting was presided over by Dr. P. Moorthy, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ramanathapuram Range. During the session, detailed reviews were conducted on major crimes reported in both districts during the past month, the progress of investigations, case disposal rates, maintenance of law and order, and traffic regulation measures.

Discussions also focused on the proactive steps taken by the police to prevent crimes, community policing initiatives, and awareness campaigns organized for public safety.

In his address, Dr. P. Moorthy emphasized that earning the trust and confidence of the public is the true measure of success for the police force. He urged all officers to perform their duties with honesty, discipline, and compassion while ensuring the safety and well-being of the public.

During the meeting, police personnel who performed exceptionally well in Ramanathapuram and Sivagangai districts were honored with certificates of appreciation. They were recognized for their dedicated service, effective crime prevention measures, and commendable contribution to public service.

At the conclusion of the meeting, officials from all departments jointly discussed and formulated plans to further reduce criminal activities in the coming months.
