As per the directions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, the Tirunelveli District Police have intensified preventive and rescue measures in view of the upcoming northeast monsoon.
District Superintendent of Police Mr. N. Silambarasan today inspected various disaster rescue and flood-prevention equipment, boats, ropes, and life jackets stored at the Tirunelveli District Armed Reserve unit.
Across the district, police personnel trained in disaster rescue operations have been kept ready to respond swiftly in case of emergencies.
In addition, necessary precautionary measures are being taken to ensure timely response to rain and flood-related incidents and to safeguard the public effectively, according to police officials.
