Police Constable A. Riyaz Mohammed (PC-1677), who served at the Tuvrangkudichi Police Station in Trichy district, sustained severe injuries in a road accident on 13.02.2025 and, despite intensive treatment, tragically passed away.
Considering the financial condition of his family, 3005 police personnel from the 2018 batch “Kaakkum Karangal” group, serving across 36 districts, collectively contributed a total amount of ₹12,00,527/-.
Of this, ₹12,00,000/- was deposited on 22.05.2025 in Repco Bank in the name of Riyaz Mohammed’s mother, Mrs. Hawwabi, as a fixed deposit.
On 12.11.2025, in the presence of Trichy District Superintendent of Police, Thiru. C. Selva Nagarathinam, the deposit documents and saplings were handed over to the family by the 2018 batch Kaakkum Karangal team.
On behalf of the family of the late Riyaz Mohammed and the police personnel of Trichy district, heartfelt thanks were expressed to all the contributors.
