The Passing Out Parade marking the completion of training for the Tirunelveli District Home Guards was held today (13.01.2026) at the Tirunelveli District Armed Reserve Parade Ground.
To fill the vacant posts in the Tirunelveli District Home Guards, 29 candidates were selected and their training commenced on 11.11.2025. After nearly two months of intensive training, the programme was successfully completed today.


As part of the passing out ceremony, the Home Guards presented a ceremonial parade and guard of honour to the Superintendent of Police, Tirunelveli District, Dr. V. Prasanna Kumar, IPS. The District Superintendent of Police inspected the parade, accepted the salute, and presented prizes to the Home Guards who successfully completed the training. He congratulated them and conveyed his best wishes for excellence in their future service.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Armed Reserve, Tirunelveli District, Subramanian; the Home Guards Area Commandant, Sudan Jefferson Raja; the Assistant Area Commandant, Vinoth Vincent Rajes; and other police officials and personnel.
