In Kanyakumari district, District Superintendent of Police Dr. R. Stalin, IPS, has been taking stringent and continuous action against the sale and distribution of narcotic substances such as ganja, gutkha, and tobacco products.
Continuing these efforts, under the supervision of Dr. Lalith Kumar, DSP (Law & Order), Nagercoil Sub-Division, the Aralvaimozhi Police were conducting vehicle checks.
During the operation, police intercepted two persons traveling on a two-wheeler under suspicious circumstances. Upon inspection, they seized 2 kilograms of ganja, which is banned by the government.
The arrested persons have been identified as:
▪️Anees Kumar (33), son of Hariharan, a resident of Vellamadam, and
▪️Thampidurai (33), son of Rajendran, a resident of Thovalai.
They were arrested by Inspector Pachaimal and Sub-Inspector Karthik of the Aralvaimozhi Police Station.
Due to the strict and continuous enforcement measures taken by District SP Dr. R. Stalin, several individuals involved in the illegal sale of narcotic substances have been apprehended across the district.
