A Cyber Crime and Drug Awareness Programme was conducted on 10.10.2025 at Government Arts and Science College, Thittagudi, Cuddalore District, under the instructions of Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore District, Thiru. S. Jayakumar, IPS.
The event aimed to create awareness among students about the ill effects of drug abuse and the importance of cyber safety. Thiru. G. Parthiban, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thittagudi Sub Division, delivered a special address emphasizing the need for students to lead a healthy and disciplined life.

He motivated the students to avoid drugs, focus on education and sports, and use social media responsibly. He also advised students not to share OTPs or personal information with strangers, and to avoid sharing or forwarding morphed or obscene photos, as such actions can lead to serious cybercrime issues.
The programme arrangements were made by Thiru. Manikandan, Principal, Government Arts College, Thittagudi, with the support of the Rotary Association members of Thittagudi.
The event saw active participation from students and staff members, who appreciated the efforts of the police department for conducting such an informative and motivational awareness session.
