In Tenkasi district, several police personnel and ministerial staff serving in the police department had submitted petitions seeking financial aid from the Police Welfare Fund. These requests were made to cover critical needs such as medical expenses and unfortunate incidents like loss of life during duty.

After careful review and approval as per official norms, financial assistance was sanctioned to 10 individuals from the Police Welfare Fund. The disbursement ceremony was held today (17.07.2025) at the Tenkasi District Police Office.

The event was presided over by the District Superintendent of Police, Mr. S. Aravind, IPS, who personally handed over the aid amounts to the eligible beneficiaries. Several police officers, welfare board officials, and family members of the recipients attended the function.



Across both metropolitan and district levels, police personnel continue to face various challenges while fulfilling their public service duties. The Police Welfare Fund stands as a significant support system to safeguard their wellbeing during times of crisis.

During the ceremony, SP S. Aravind emphasized the importance of consistently supporting the welfare of police personnel and assured that emergency needs would continue to be addressed promptly through welfare schemes. He also appreciated the role of the Welfare Fund in protecting and supporting the police community during critical times.
