Villupuram: Massive Awareness Seminar & Exhibition Draws Over 5,000 Visitors!

A large-scale awareness seminar and exhibition on road safety, women and child protection, drug prevention, and cybercrime awareness was held today at the Villupuram District Police Parade Ground.

The event was conducted under the supervision of Villupuram Range Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mrs. Uma, IPS, and presided over by Mr. Saravanan, IPS, District Superintendent of Police, along with Mr. Sheikh Abdul Rahman, IAS, District Collector of Villupuram.

A total of 55 exhibition stalls were set up, showcasing awareness-themed artwork, models, posters, and short films created by students from schools and colleges.

From 16.07.2025 to 18.07.2025, inter-school and inter-college competitions were held:

3,547 students participated in the drawing competition

883 students took part in the speech competition

More than 5,000 students and members of the public visited the exhibition and took part in various awareness activities. Students also performed cultural programs, and short films were screened to convey important messages.

Dr. Jagan, the keynote awareness speaker, addressed the students on the dangers and preventive measures related to drug abuse, road safety, women’s and children’s safety, and cybercrimes.

Awards and Recognition:

Prizes were given to the top three winners in both drawing and speech competitions.

Educational institutions that set up outstanding stalls received special gifts.

All participating schools and colleges were given commemorative tokens.
