Today, a public grievance redressal meeting was held at the Nagapattinam District Police Office, led by District Superintendent of Police (SP) Mr. S. Selvakumar, IPS. During the event, the SP met members of the public in person, listened attentively to their complaints and issues, and received a total of 19 petitions.
He assured that appropriate action would be taken promptly on all the petitions received.
He further stated that a public grievance day is conducted every Wednesday at the Nagapattinam District Police Office. Citizens are encouraged to participate and present their concerns directly to the police officials.

To facilitate easy communication between the public and the police, a dedicated contact number 8428103090 has been made available under the initiative “Talk to Your SP”. Through this helpline, the public can report issues such as illegal liquor sales, ganja trafficking, and other problems causing disturbances in the community.
The event witnessed active participation from both the public and police personnel, helping strengthen the relationship between the police force and the citizens they serve.
